The Scientific Department is the Foundation's primary department for the research & development of anomalous phenomena. This section outlines the regulations that members of the Scientific Department are held to.
Follow all regulations within the Code of Ethics. Being in the Scientific Department does not exempt you from the Code of Ethics.
Whilst on-site or otherwise representing the Scientific Department, members are expected to uphold some maturity and professionalism. Grammar is not enforced, but is recommended.
Orders or requests from Scientific Command or any other civil or combative authority are to be followed unless they violate internal regulations or the Code of Ethics.
Using loopholes will result in further punishment. Please report any loopholes to High Command (Board of Research+).
Any form of plagiarism or use of AI will result in immediate removal.
All SCPs are to be treated with respect. Intentionally causing distress or inciting a breach will result in severe punishment, up to and including removal.
All testing that may be deemed unethical must be approved before testing.
Do not schedule tests that may require Anomaly Actors at the last minute. Please provide a minimum of 30 minutes in advance. The only exception to this is feedings or testing for SAFE anomalies.
Follow testing restrictions listed in the #infoboard channel. Hosting tests on anomalies above your clearance will result in a ranklock.
Cross-testing involving 2 or more Keter anomalies requires approval from Scientific Command. Termination attempts require approval from Epsilon-1 Command and at least one incumbent AA and ScD High Command member.
All tests must be logged in the #test-submissions channel under Utility in the main ScD server.
All participating Class-D personnel must be rewarded based on performance.
All tests requiring Class-D personnel require a combative escort. Follow a general ratio of 2:1 at minimum, 2 Class-Ds to 1 Security Escort
All test subjects must be Class Ds. You may not use or subject any hostiles or Foundation personnel to anomalies or anomalous effects.
When testing an anomalous object, ensure that you are using one of the vacant chambers located within the Cleanrooms.
Zone restrictions are as follows;
Security Juniors+ may escort all tests to the Cleanrooms.
Security Specialists+ and Mobile Task Forces may escort all tests to Moderate Containment Zone aside from Infectious anomalies.
Epsilon-1 "Firewall" is required for testing within the Heavy Containment Zone and for any infectious anomalies.
All members of the Scientific Department will be subject to the punishments within this list. If you believe your punishment was unjust, please inform a member of the Ethics Committee.
