The Scientific Department is the Foundation’s research & development department. Responsible for the research of currently contained anomalies & substances, as well as future objects the Foundation may acquire.

CENTRAL COMMAND - Cap of 1
Department Central Command, there may be one director at any given time. They may exempt all sections of the Scientific Department Guidelines within reason; however may not exempt people from the Code of Ethics.
Board of Research - SC-3
HIGH COMMAND - Cap of 3
Department High Command, tasked with administrative changes and day to day work that the department requires, including managing the department's members and command staff. They may exempt themselves as well as others from all sections of the Scientific Department Guidelines within reason; however may not exempt people from the Code of Ethics.
Research Supervisor - SC-2
MEDIUM COMMAND - Cap of 8
Department Medium Command, managing department entry and the flow of operations in general, assisting other command members and base department members wherever help is required.
Lead Researcher - SC-2
JUNIOR COMMAND - Cap of 16
Department Junior Command, managing entrance events and grading tests submitted by the Scientific Department. A general backbone of the department making it function as expected.
Requirements
Candidates for command must not be in bad standing within the department.
Must have no punishment within the last 30 days.
Must have no severe punishments on record.
Senior Researcher - SC-1
SENIOR STAFF
Department Leadership, not official members of command but still entrusted with authority over other Researchers on-site. Senior Researchers are permitted to test on almost every SCP within the site.
Requirements
14 hours on-site must have been met.
Has been in the department for 20 days.

DEPARTMENT STAFF
An experienced researcher onsite, has the ability to host on most if not all anomalies contained onsite. They are expected to know the effects, concepts and the danger of most anomalies. Senior Researchers gain less restrictions when it comes to testing.

Has been in the department for 10 days.

Standard Researchers within the department, they are entrusted with additional testing permissions.

Newer researchers within the department, having passed their internship they still have lots to learn within the field of anomalies.

DEPARTMENT PROBATIONARY STAFF
New intakes for the department, who must go through introduction steps to get used to how the department functions. Interns are not allowed to perform tests before undergoing an orientation and have one month to get promoted.
